My
friends. It would be impossible for me to personally greet every member of
our sales organisation this morning. So I’ve adopted this matter to
saying to you what I would say if I could see you personally. The February
sales contest ended last Saturday and this week we started a new fiscally
year. Throughout the February sales drive there have been many evidences
of your enthusiasm and I want to express my thanks to every member or our
store organisation. Your
superintended and assistant have been loud in their praise to the support
you have given in the successful conclusion of our fiscally year of 1931.
The first week in March to started a new fiscally year for our company,
also begin a somewhat new matter of merchandising. A matter design for the
sole purpose to improving the sales of your store. The plans outline for
this week featuring your entire line of fish have been giving great
thought and have been most carefully prepared. The possibility of our
holding the contest volume and starting the new year off with satisfactory
first week will depend upon your giving full effort of the plans. The year
1932 will .... and open mindedness ...... and new ideas the
plan for the first week in March is one of these new merchandising ideas
and its success is depended upon the enthusiastic of the sales sport. I
know you and your clerks will give this enthusiastic effort. Thank you.

OMAR ETHYL Omar Refining Cº., Tulsa, Oklahoma > Ted Husing was
the radio announcer of Paul Whiteman during the Bix period.
“Ethyl”
was a
pre WW II appelation for what is now known as "super" or "Hi-Test".
"Ethyl" was the trademarked brand name of
the company that manufactured the premium anti-knock gasoline additive in
the US and their logo appeared on high-test pumps across North America!
They also used to run magazine ads advertising their product, and
explaining the joys of filling up with Ethyl!. |
