Durium Products Incorporated

New catalog system

After this session a lot of alterations were made. The Durium Products Corporation had failed; the Durium Products Incorporated had started. DURIUM introduced the new 5-minutes Hit of the week record (The first 5-minutes Hit of the week record was HOW 1156 ). Starting with HOW 1160 the colour of the Durium surface became dark-brown and the manufacturer's identification changed. A new catalog system was introduced starting in the 3rd week of September 1931 using month letters and week numbers (like J (=September 1931)).

DURIUM JUNIOR N 25

This little 4” record is a cheap dub of part of HOW J2 with a conspicuous fade-in and face-out. Because it fits into the DURIUM JUNIOR range it is listed here too. // * There has been some discussion about the person of Jack Parker and J. Donald Parker. It seems that the name belongs to one and the same person

Records from the collections of  Lyle Boehland (USA) - Hans Koert (The Netherlands) - Stewart Marsh (USA). Thanks to Doug Benson (USA). Thaks to Larry Tedder (USA)
